We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for our business activities. Depending on how you interact with us, this may include:

  • Contact details — name, email, mobile phone, postal address.
  • Property owner information — property address, ownership details, payout details, identification (where required for our licensing obligations).
  • Tour or transfer booking details — travel date, party size, package preference, accessibility or pickup notes.
  • Guest details if you stay in a property we manage — name, contact details, ID where required by the booking platform or Queensland short-stay regulations.
  • Website usage — pages viewed, device type, approximate location, referring URL, collected via Google Analytics 4.
  • Communications — emails, SMS and call notes you exchange with us.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive information (such as health, racial origin, religion or political opinion) and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 15 without parental involvement.

  • To respond to enquiries and provide quotes, audits or strategy calls.
  • To arrange Kuranda Scenic Railway, Skyrail, airport shuttles and other tour bookings on your behalf with the relevant operator (e.g. Queensland Rail Travel, Skyrail Rainforest Cableway).
  • To manage Airbnb, Booking.com and other short-stay platform listings on behalf of property owners.
  • To coordinate cleaning, linen, maintenance and guest support for properties we manage.
  • To send service updates, performance reports and (where you have opted in) occasional offers.
  • To meet our legal, tax and licensing obligations as a Queensland real estate agent.
  • To improve our website and services through anonymised analytics.

4. Cookies, Analytics & Advertising

Our website uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our pages. Google Analytics sets cookies that record your device type, approximate location, pages visited, time on page and referring URL. This data is processed by Google in accordance with their Privacy Policy.

If we run paid advertising campaigns (for example via Google Ads or Meta), we may use conversion-tracking pixels that record when you arrive from an ad and complete an action such as submitting a booking request. You can opt out of personalised ads at any time via the Google Ads Settings page.

You can refuse cookies in your browser settings, although some site features may not work as intended.

5. Who We Share Information With

We never sell your personal information. We share it only with parties who help us deliver our services, and only as necessary:

  • Tour and transport operators — e.g. Queensland Rail Travel, Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, shuttle providers — to confirm your booking.
  • Short-stay platforms — e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com, Hospitable — for property owners we represent.
  • Cleaning and maintenance partners — including Clean Stays for housekeeping, and licensed trades for maintenance call-outs.
  • Payment processors — e.g. Stripe — if you purchase a paid service such as a Listing Audit, Strategy Call or Welcome Guide.
  • IT and email infrastructure — including Google Workspace, Google Apps Script and our website host.
  • Government agencies or law enforcement — only where we are legally required to do so.

Most of our records are stored within Australia. Some service providers (Google, Stripe, Airbnb, Booking.com, Hospitable, Meta) host data overseas, including in the United States and the European Union. We only use providers that contractually commit to standards of protection comparable to the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. How Long We Keep It

We keep personal information for as long as it is needed to provide the relevant service, and afterwards as required by law. For example:

  • Tax and accounting records: a minimum of 7 years.
  • Real estate agency records: as required by Queensland Office of Fair Trading rules.
  • Marketing enquiries that did not progress: up to 24 months from last contact.
  • Tour booking requests that were not confirmed: up to 12 months.

8. Your Rights

Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct any information that is inaccurate or out of date.
  • Withdraw consent for direct marketing at any time.
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations.
  • Make a complaint about how your information has been handled.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. This includes encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls on our systems, and vetted third-party providers. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
