We started as hosts ourselves. After moving to Cairns with our four kids, we managed our own holiday apartments across Cairns and the Northern Beaches. Word spread, and we built The Guest Man to help other owners earn more, stress less, and give guests an amazing stay.

Sarah is a fully licensed Registered Nurse (RN) and former trainer & assessor for NSW and QLD Health. She holds TAE certificates and has taught doctors and nurses across both states. Today, Sarah brings that training discipline to our policies, procedures, and staff development—so every clean, check-in, and guest interaction follows a clear standard.
Jan joined us after moving from Bali, Indonesia, as our very first team member. Over three years he’s grown from housekeeper → team leader → manager. Today, Jan runs all housekeeping operations and hosts each of our properties. He performs the final checks—fresh, spotless, lights just right—with relaxing music to set the scene for every arrival.
